Fawn and Silverfawn Line
I fell in love with this gorgeous color in a rat named Merida. She was a silver fawn with a beautiful orange silver tipped coat and bright red eyes. It would take me a year to get this color back as it is recessive. Three beautiful rats were born, starting this line. Two silverfawn odd eye blazed variegated rex, TALE Madison, and blazed berkshire, TALE Taylor, sisters and their brother, a fawn berkshire rex, TALE Carter.
Fawn and Silverfawn are the ruby eyed dilute and the pink eyed dilute on agouti. Running in this line is also mink which can brighten the orange to make apricot. The blazes on the girls are recessive and this is what causes the oddeye. This will be one of the only lines that I have that will have rex in it.
Currently, this line has not been made available to the public as temperament is unstable. The current females are doing much better and their mother was able to be pet placed as a retired breeder. Carter is unsure about people and I am watching him for any hormonal aggression that may be present although that has not been an issue in the past.
My goals for this line are to improve temperament, first and foremost. I expect the line to be active and full of personality. I want increase the eye size and shorten the face and get more curl into the rex.
